Glyder 1.0 iPhone iPod Touch

March 18, 2009 - No dying, no losing, no consequences – those are the three tenets of Glyder, Glu's upcoming casual iPhone flying game that is set to come in for a landing in April. The game stars the young Eryn, who has fallen into an alternate dimension and must find her way home. She has constructed a pair of Icarus-like wings to send her soaring through colorful landscapes and collect a crystals that unlock portals leading through a series of magical worlds.

There are no killer dragons or menacing bees to knock you out of the sky in Glyder. Instead, the game appears to be focused entirely on exploration and recreating the freeing sensation of flight. There are six different worlds to explore. In order to unlock each of them, you must discover a specific number of colored crystals. Each color is associated with one of the worlds. The worlds include fantasy-rich landscapes like Floating Castle, Underworld, and the Clouds. Glu says the game is completely free-roaming with seamless world connectors. If you unlock a new world, you can fly into it without any loading screens – it is supposed to be totally seamless.
