Here's my new Rom incorporating REAL VGA!
- RealVGA 96, 128 and 192 DPI
- Opera 8.65
- FoxitPDF Reader
- GSPlayer
- MS Voice Command
- Google Maps
- PIM/SIM Backup
- PocketRAR
- PocketNotepad
- TaskMgr2.7
- I.E Flash Plugin
- TCPMP 0.81 (preconfigured for max performance on universal)
- TotalCommander2
- Calc98 advanced calculator
- PBar 1.4 (this is an amazing tool and it only eats 5kb of ram!)
- Office (word, outlook, excel, powerpoint, onenote)
- Windows Live
- Windows Media Player
- Internet Connection Sharing
- VOIP (non-crashy fixed version)
- WLAN WPA fix by mamiware
- Updated SD/SDHC drivers
- Updated WLAN driver
- Works on G3 and G4 hardware revisions
Important notes :-
DLLs and EXEs in this rom are stored as modules wherever possible. In particular all device drivers are now modular.
This should be slightly quicker and use less resources than storing them as files.
If anyone knows of a tool that does the inverse of "recmod", to decompile an exe/dll into a module, I would like to know about it.
Notes on RealVGA
Battery and backlight settings modified to support DPIs other than 192
Comm Manager removed as it only supports 192 DPI, eats 2Mb for no good reason and is dog slow.
Use PBar instead to stop/start radio signals quickly and easily (just tap the BT, WIFI or GSM icons).
Calculator replaced with calc98. In higher DPIs, select "view->options->view->function keypad"
Use 4 rows, 4-8 cols (depending on 96 or 128dpi), width 44, height 30 to make full use of the extra screen space
One last thing - if you don't plan on using VoiceCommand, just delete the link from \windows\startup and reboot to save yourself 760Kb of RAM
